Black River Campus (BRC)

The newest addition to the PHFOEC system is a 500 acre gem wonderfully simulating a true wilderness experience. Along its roughly 10 miles of forested trails, one can experience towering, 100 year old pines along high bluffs bordering the confluence of the Black River and Woodhull Creek. Also evident at BRC are glacial remnants including moraines, eskers and erratics. In the fall, commanding views of the Tug Hill Plateau from interior ridges are much in evidence. Both river and creek habitats provide a rich palette of aquatic wildlife.

Black River (BRC) Campus offers the following activities:

  • Hiking
  • Snow shoeing
